Halls Ck

The China Wall is a quartz reef appaering from the ground, it runs all the way to the Bungles.

He was the bushman operated on (with a pocket knife) on the old Halls Ck post office bench by the Postmaster via telegraph to the Dr in Perth. He had bladder problems. Operation successful , lived 9 days (?) and died the day before the Dr arrived from Perth.
Its notable because his death is what convinced Reverand John Flynn to start a medical service for outback people. Now called "Royal Flying Dr Service.
In the unlikely event we needed evacuating they are the ones who would come to our rescue ouback!

Old halls Ck was moved when the HWY and airpot was built to the west, a flatter area.The remains are derelict. The old Post Office was protected as it was made out of Ant beds.
