Our last trip. Barossa to Griffith with wine grapes. Leave yard 5am. Go the scenic route through Swan Reach. Macas for breaky at Renmark. Behind schedule already. Dis driving the new Freightliner. Slowing down for the checkpoint (fruit fly) at the vic border. We have a permit to carry the grapes through to NSW.
Arrive at Yenda, (just through Griffith)4pm.Just had a very hot shower here at the Bertmans Winery, while the guys tip off the grapes. Chris will get his shower after he tips.Then thinking about yummy dinner.Then somewhere to pull up & sleep in the single. This sleeper is smaller than the old freightliner Chris was in. Missed out on smoko!! Had lunch on the run. Kevin had his sangas, we had crudetts with dip. The only stop we made was between Euston & Balranald.
