KARAJINI WAS AWESUM.The GOrges were all worth treking through. Some of the them scary,and you can only go so far. Beyond that you need abseiling equipment. There was water running through and very slippery in places. At one stage we had to swim through or creep along the edge of the rocks. Its amazing they have not baricaded a lot of the cliffs. I would be the highlight of WA so far.

Karratha

We went to see the staircase of the moon at Hearsons cove. It was better than Broome, no haze this time. There are no trees around karratha, Bare house yards. many work cars. And lots of broken bottles smashed over the ground.we are parked in the yard of the company we work for, in the house are 2 other couples and 2 singles. Massive overcrowding in all the yards. And you cant free camp anywhere. Chris is working nightshift being a night watchman. I am due to start admin/housekeeping or kitchen.

Port Hedland

1 thing, there seems to be hardly any unemployment. Every 2nd person is walking around witha various company uniform. BHP RIP FMG. BUt housing is so expensive.
Cheapest unit $800 000. Rent from $1 500 to $2 500. And It is SO UGLY here.

Pt Hedland

Not nuch here to talk about, All industry. Everything covered in red dust. Caught a few fish. Got warned by the fisheries inspector to "hide" our crab pot as ita illegal here & NT. The heavy industry & whole town is built around mudflats & swamp mangroves. Lots of sandflies.

Beagle Bay

Beagle bay church was built by the first Catholic Mission. The alter is decorated with Mother of Pearl shell. Cape Leveque was a disapointment. The main tip is owned by a resrt & your'e supposed to pay a day fee to walk around "their" beach. It was prettier at One Arm Pt, I have included a pic of the Airport their.
