Hi Everyone,
We are in Cobar for a while as Dis has a job in the mine. Its an underground copper mine, he is on the surface though. 12 hour day & night shifts. 4 days off 4 on. We went to Griffith for the 4 days off. A lot nicer there. Had 2 get the Mazda service. 365 klms sth east.It was colder down there. Also fog didnt lift till 11am. Rain here atm & we set up near the dam edge! Very squishy getting out klm mud.

Here are our latest pics of Cobar, which is a copper mining town. we called at Gundabooka NP on th way from Bourke, to c the rock paintings. We only just got back out 2 the bitumen , bcause it rained on the way in & the rd (the red dirt) was mucky as. It doesnt take much to close the dirt rds. The Ranger actually met us in there (after our hike) to follow us out as he was closing the rd. Camping at the old Reservoir of Cobar, so hopefully it will stay fine, otherwise we ll have 2 wait till the rd drys up. Dis house is nearly finished, Nick & Karen are really fantastically getting into the painting & all the running round.

We took the boat to Bourke today , up the Darling River. Took 35 mins to get their. had a good walk around ( to buy 1 litre of fuel to get back). & had a picnic. The pics are all from today. Nice camp spot, 5 klms by rd from Bourke. All the shops have bars & cages around them, lots of yards are high fenced too. The weather is nice here in the day & since leaving Dubbo the nights are warmer too. Heading to Cobar in a few days. But not until Dis catches a big Yellowbelly in the Darling.
