We have recently had rain & (1 ripper hailstorm) for 6 days.We find that we have 4 different leaks from the hatches & water in our clothes draw, the boot and 1 night the quilt & sheet were wet from a leak down the side. Firstly in the lovely Hawks Nest (on the northern side of Port Stephens), then we went to a good spot near the water at Lemon Tree Passage on the southern side.We met Klaus & Kathy staying there in a van also.She made some lovely food for us & Dis took Klaus fishing. Then we had a good look around Nelson Bay. Very scenic! Then on to Stockton looking across to the city of Newcastle. Here we are in Belmont (which is sth of Newcastle), right beside Lake Macquarie, very nice at a boat ramp ( they generally have lots of room for our rig).Today the service man came to fix the leaks. He is also fixing other warranty issues whenever Kimberley send the parts. After 2 fine days its good to be dry inside. We also visted the Rushbrooks here, whom used to live in Gympie (the Salvo Officers). He is battling cancer. Great to catch up with familiar faces.

As its started 2 cool down we are investing in a doona ,as we only brought our quilt & sleeping bags.We got the new mags without any hassle at Port. Had a lovely stay at Kerewong SF and Bretti Reserve, and Laurieton. Met a lady I knew (from Caboolture Capt Gwen Lawrence) at church Taree. Also met some relatives of our friends Norm & Jean Morris from Gympie.Went to Ellenbourough Falls- very good, walked down to the botttom. Also Gloucester which is a nice town. mog & dis
